We are taught that it’s important to be respectful, yet a couple’s decision to not have a family is still openly frowned upon. A woman who doesn’t want children is still considered abnormal, a childless man is thought to be selfish and immature.

It is not the business of anyone but the couple (and potentially their doctors) whether they should decide to have children. That means it’s none of your business, so think before you utter any of these condescending phrases to a childless/childfree person.

Thank you to the creator of this! Seriously, this is something that I find I am disrespected on. I do not want children and if I ever decide I would, I agree with the above individual who says adopt. AND I love the fact that this doesn’t only apply to women (though they are a big factor in this) but to men who don’t want children.

Children are miraculous and beautiful for those who want them. But not everybody wants them.
